Who I Am
My family has lived in Philly for almost 100 years. I moved to Philadelphia when I was 6 years old after living in Bristol and Levittown. I've lived in Northeast Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, and now Port Richmond (for the 2nd time). My children were born at Hahnemann Hospital. My wife works for the Pennsylvania Ballet. We live and breathe this city, and I will do everything in my power to advance the interests and improve the well-being of everyone in the 177th District.
I served my country as a soldier in the United States Army Reserves for 8 years. I served one tour in Iraq in 2008. I am now ready to serve my community as its representative. The Republican Incumbent has held this office for as long as I have been alive. In those 32 years he has indeed done good for the district but he still toes the Republican Party line and it is time for change. It is time for new ideas.
I plan to hold local town hall events in the various neighborhoods that make up this district to learn everything I can about what my future constituents want changed. My primary goal while in office will be to join the effort to stop the disheartening and disenfranchising act of gerrymandering, but I plan to do much more and I need each and every one of the residents in my district to talk to me about what they feel needs to be done.
This is the first step in something big. We are in this together, and we will make a difference.
